How do I attach Loo Blade Rim Cleaner?Updated 8 days ago
TL;DR: Slide the Loo Blade Head straight off the handle, then slide Loo Blade Rim Cleaner on in its place, lined up with the three grooves, and push down until it seats. Put the blade head back on so it sits against the rim cleaner. Then press the whole thing down inside the pot to check both parts are firm.
How do I attach Loo Blade Rim Cleaner?
✓ Five steps
Take the head off. Slide Loo Blade Head straight off the handle. Pull, do not twist.
Line up the grooves. Hold the handle pointing upwards and slide Loo Blade Rim Cleaner on, matching it to the three grooves.
Push it down until it seats. Firm pressure. A rim cleaner that is only half on is the one that comes apart in the bowl.
Line the head up again. Match the head to the same grooves.
Push the head home. Press it on firmly until it sits flush against the rim cleaner.
Anything worth doing first?
✓ Handling a used head
The head has been in the toilet bowl, so put washing up gloves on or wrap it in a plastic bag before you pull it off. Easier still, do the swap right after a boiling water rinse.
✓ Check it before you use it
Once it is back together, stand the blade in the ceramic pot and press down hard. If either the rim cleaner or the head shifts, take them off and reseat them.
What if it feels loose or will not slide on?
⚠ It feels loose or keeps coming off
Nine times out of ten one of the two parts is sitting on the grooves rather than in them. Pull both off, line the rim cleaner up with the three grooves, push it down until it stops moving, then do the same with the head.
✓ It will not slide on
- Check the handle is dry. A wet fitting drags.
- Check the grooves are clear of residue, and rinse them if they are not.
- Check the head is fully off before the rim cleaner goes on, since the two cannot share the fitting.
If it still will not seat, get in touch and we will sort it out.

Attaches to the Loo Blade you already own and angles up under the toilet rim, where the main head cannot sit flat.

Rated for up to 2,000 uses. If the blades have gone soft while you had it apart, this is the part to swap.
