Bathroom & Shower Cleaner sits at pH 8, is non-abrasive and rinses off with water, which fits the mild, non-acidic, non-abrasive category most coating manufacturers point you at. Two things still apply. Spot test a hidden corner and check it still beads water, and read the coating manufacturer's own care instructions, because they know what is bonded to your glass and they carry the warranty. One catch worth knowing: pH 8 is mildly alkaline, not neutral, so if your coating specifies pH-neutral cleaners only, follow that.

What damages a coated shower screen?

Acids. Vinegar, citric acid, lime scale removers, shower descalers. The most common cause of a coating failing early, and the most common home remedy people reach for.
Abrasives. Scouring powders, melamine erasers, stiff brushes, and Koh Diamond Sponge. Anything that works by scratching will scratch the coating first.
Strong solvents. Acetone, methylated spirits, and aggressive degreasers not rated for treated glass.

How do I spot test a coated surface?

Pick somewhere hidden. A bottom corner, the edge behind a fixed panel, the strip below the handle. Somewhere you would not mind losing.
Apply lightly. A small amount of foam, wiped gently with a soft microfibre. No scrubbing, no pads, no pressure.
Wait five minutes, then rinse and dry. Rinse with water and dry with a clean microfibre.
Do the beading check. Splash water across the tested patch and the untested glass beside it. Matching beads means the coating is intact. Water that flattens or sheets on the tested patch means it is not, and you stop.
How should I clean a coated screen day to day?

Squeegee the glass after every shower. It takes about fifteen seconds and it is the single biggest factor in how long a coating lasts, because soap scum that never dries on never needs scrubbing off.
For the occasional deeper clean, foam on, short dwell, wipe with a soft microfibre or the block colour side of Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt, then rinse well with water and dry the glass. Never let the product dry on a coated surface.

Pulls water and soap off the glass before either has a chance to dry and bond. Fifteen seconds after a shower saves the scrub that would have taken the coating with it.
⚠ If the coating has already gone
Coatings do not last forever. Most carry a stated lifespan and they wear out faster in hard water or where the glass never gets dried. If water has stopped beading across the whole screen, the coating has reached the end rather than been damaged by any one clean.
At that point the glass is ordinary glass again, and it can be cleaned as ordinary glass. Reapplication is a job for the coating supplier.
