How do I keep my Hand Wash Pump working well?

To keep the Hand Wash Pump working smoothly, rinse the nozzle occasionally with warm water to clear any product buildup inside the head. Store the bottle upright in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid using harsh chemicals on the pump mechanism or applying excessive force when pressing. If the pump becomes sluggish or clogged, flush the nozzle with warm water to clear the blockage.

Rinse the nozzle occasionally

Run warm water through the nozzle every few refills to flush out any dried product buildup inside the pump head. This keeps the mechanism smooth and the dose consistent.

Store upright in a cool dry place

Keep the bottle upright to prevent leaks. Avoid storing in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as temperature extremes can affect the pump mechanism over time.

Pump feels stuck or tight

New pumps arrive with the head locked to prevent leakage in transit. Twist the collar counter-clockwise firmly to unlock. If it's still tight, wrap a cloth around the collar for better grip and try again gently.

Pump isn't dispensing anything

Check the pump is unlocked. If it's a new bottle or just refilled, prime it with several full pumps until product flows. If it's still not dispensing, flush the nozzle with warm water to clear any blockage.

Leaking from the pump head

Usually caused by overfilling or heat exposure. Wipe off any excess product, make sure the pump head is tightly screwed on, and move the bottle away from direct sunlight or heat.

The Hand Wash Pump bottle is not curbside recyclable due to its Adflex soft-touch finish. However, the bottle contains the Reloop® additive, which is designed to help the plastic break down in microbe-rich environments such as landfill rather than persisting as microplastics. The pump head can be separated and placed in your recycling bin as it contains no metal spring and is made from polypropylene.

The bottle and pump head are handled separately at end of life.
