TL;DR: Extend Grout Brush Pole to your preferred length, then twist the grey and green pole sections in opposite directions until they tighten. The small green collar is a spacer, not the lock.

How do I lock Grout Brush Pole?
Quick steps
Extend. Pull the pole out to your preferred length.
Grip both sections. Hold the grey section with one hand and the green section above it with the other.
Twist opposite ways. A quarter-turn is usually enough until you feel the internal thread tighten.
⚠ Green collar is not the lock
The small green ring under the lock/unlock sticker is a spacer, not the locking mechanism. Spinning it won't tighten the pole. Twist the pole sections themselves.
✓ Push test
Give the pole a gentle push downwards. If it doesn't slide, it's locked. Still slipping? Unscrew, realign, then twist again until snug.
Why isn't my Grout Brush Pole locking?
⚠ Thread feels stripped
Wipe dust, grit, or cleaning residue off the internal metal thread with a dry cloth, then retry. Debris in the thread is the most common cause of a loose feel.
⚠ Sticker points to the collar
The lock/unlock arrow sticker sits just above the green collar to show the direction of twist. Twist the pole sections themselves, not the collar.
