How do I maintain and care for my Dish Brush?Updated 2 months ago

General Care:
Do not wash the Dish Brush handle in the dishwasher and avoid leaving it in contact with water for extended period of time. After each use, tap the brush gently over the sink to knock out any remaining water and foods then stand it on its end where possible to ensure it dries quickly thus avoiding accumulation of mould and bacteria.

Handle:
The handle will come pre-treated with natural water resistant oils. However like all woods that are exposed to water frequently, you can re-apply your choice of oils/waxes periodically to maintain the integrity and condition of the handle.

We recommend to use walnut oil or a mineral oil of your choice - you can gently sand back the handle before applying the oil using a Koh Diamond Sponge to ensure an even application of oil and remove any stains or marks that the handle has accumulated.

Brush Head:
The head of your Dish Brush can be removed by twisting it anti-clockwise with one hand whilst firmly holding the handle with the other. You can place the head into a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes (ensuring the bristles are being pushed outside of their normal position) to ensure a hygienic clean or simply pop it into your dishwasher.

Note:
Over time, depending on frequency of use you may need to replace your Dish Brush Head - the best indicator will be when the bristles become warped or worn. You can order replacement heads at www.koh.com

Using the Koh Dish Brush
Like any other Dish Brush in general however to preserve maximum life of the head and bristles, we recommend avoiding placing excessive weight onto the bristles when washing. If you need to tackle any tougher baked or dried on soils we recommend simply flipping the brush so the bristles are facing away from the target surface and instead using the blade that is positioned at the front of the Dish Brush Head.

You can spray Koh Dish Liquid foam directly into the bristles and then use as a brush / application on dishes or as a regular dish brush in a sink of water with Koh Dish Liquid added into the water.
