What are the steps?

Six steps. Step 1: Fill a Foaming Spray Bottle with Koh Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner. The foamer turns the liquid into thick foam that clings to vertical surfaces like rangehoods and oven walls. You can also spray directly without the foamer if you don't have one. Step 2: Spray generously onto the greasy area. Step 3: Spread for full coverage with a damp Dish Sponge or Swedish Dishcloth. Step 4: Let it sit. Soak time depends on the surface, 3 to 5 minutes for general kitchen surfaces, 5 minutes for stovetops, 5 to 10 minutes for BBQs and rangehoods, 10 to 15 minutes for ovens with tough grease. Step 5: Scrub with a damp Dish Sponge, Swedish Dishcloth, or Scrubby Pad. Match the scrubber to the surface, soft side for plastic and ceramic-glass, scrubby side for enamel and metal. Step 6: Rinse thoroughly with clean water, or sponge-rinse with a clean damp cloth for surfaces without a drain. Always rinse before food contact because Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner is not food-grade itself.

What about extra tough messes?

For oven racks and trays, BBQ grates, roasting pans, and other heavily neglected surfaces, longer soak times work better than harder scrubbing. Spray and let sit 10 to 15 minutes for ovens, 5 to 10 minutes for BBQs, then scrub. For very heavy buildup, soak the item in warm water with Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner for 30 minutes. Don't let the product fully dry on the surface mid-clean, spray again if it starts to dry. For tough metal and enamel surfaces, the scrubby side of a Scrubby Pad is fine. Diamond Sponges are aggressive abrasives and should only be used on bare metal surfaces, never on coated cookware, ceramic-glass cooktops, or stainless steel where they can leave fine scratches.
