How do I wash and care for the Ultra Pro Cloth?Updated 10 hours ago
TL;DR: Wash Ultra Pro Cloth at 30 to 40 degrees with Sensitive Laundry Liquid or Sensitive Laundry Sheets, no fabric softener. Line-dry or tumble on low. Keep colours separate for the first few washes.
Wash cycle
How to wash
Temperature: 30 to 40 degrees (cool or warm).
Detergent: Sensitive Laundry Liquid or Sensitive Laundry Sheets.
Spin: Normal to gentle. The dense weave handles standard spins well.
Avoid
No bleach, fabric softener, or dryer sheets. These coat the microfibre loops and destroy absorbency, which defeats the purpose of the cloth.
Drying
Preferred: line-dry
Hang in a shaded, airy spot. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods.
Optional: tumble-dry on low
Low heat only. High heat can shrink fibres and flatten the loop pile, reducing absorbency and polish performance. No ironing.
Colour care and quick refresh
Colour care
Wash dark cloths separately for the first few cycles. Minor dye bleed is normal for deep-tone microfibre and will settle after a few washes.
Quick refresh between deep washes
Rinse the cloth in warm water after use.
Gently wring (no twisting) to expel dirty water.
Hang by the edge binding so air flows through the loops.
Storage
Store completely dry in a cool cupboard. Damp storage encourages odour-causing bacteria despite the cloth's silver nano treatment.
