Our chenille polyester mitt was wash-tested under gentle, cold-cycle conditions. Results:

• ≈ 50 washes with minimal fibre flattening
• Dust pickup remained >90% of new until ~wash 40

• 🧺 Wash cold, gentle cycle; hot water shortens fibre life.
• 🚫 Skip fabric softener & bleach—they clog the dust-grabbing fingers.
• 💨 Air-dry flat or hang; never tumble-dry.
• 🔄 Shake between tasks to release dust and reduce wash frequency.

End-of-life tip

When the mitt finally loses its fluff, repurpose it for greasy garage or outdoor jobs, or check local textile-recycling programs that accept 100% polyester items.
