How long does Loo Blade head last?Updated 4 hours ago
TL;DR: The head on your Loo Blade is rated for up to 2,000 uses, which works out to roughly 1 to 2 years in an average household. Rinse it after each use and let it dry in the ceramic pot, and keep bleach cleaners off it, since bleach can blemish and weaken the material. When it is time for a fresh one, Loo Blade Head pops straight on.
How long does Loo Blade head last?
✓ Up to 2,000 uses
The head is 100% recycled TPE, which holds its shape through repeated wetting and flexing. Rated for up to 2,000 uses with regular domestic care, roughly 1 to 2 years in an average household. Available in white and charcoal.
✓ What makes it last
Rinse the head in the fresh flush water after each use, shake off the drips, and stand it in the ceramic pot so air can get around it. A head left sitting wet in a closed space is the one that ages fastest.
What shortens the life of the head, and when should I replace it?
⚠ Bleach shortens the life of the head
Chlorine bleach can blemish the surface and weaken the material, so the head wears out well before it needs to. Use Loo Cleaner Tabs in the bowl instead, and give the head a boiling water rinse when it needs freshening.
✓ Signs it is time for a new head
- The blades feel soft or stay splayed instead of springing back.
- Splits or nicks have opened up along the edges of the blades.
- The head no longer grips the handle firmly.
Staining on its own is cosmetic and does not mean the head has stopped working.
How do I replace the head?
✓ Swapping the head, in two steps
Pull the old head off. Hold the handle in one hand and work the head off the fitting with the other.
Push the new one on. Line Loo Blade Head up with the fitting and press until it seats. That is the whole job.
⚠ Check the fit on an older handle
Replacement heads are made for the current Loo Blade. If yours is an older or differently sized handle, get in touch before you order and we will confirm the fit for you.
What replacement heads and accessories are there?

Pop off, pop on
Loo Blade Head extends the life of the handle and pot you already own, so a worn head does not mean a whole new tool.

Getting under the rim
Loo Blade Rim Cleaner attaches to your existing Loo Blade and reaches the grime that sits up under the rim.

Handle, head and ceramic pot together. Charcoal here, with a white version if that suits the room better.

Drop one in, let it fizz, then swipe with Loo Blade. Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certified and Sensitive Choice approved.
