How do I use Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner?Updated a day ago
TL;DR: Spray Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner straight onto the greasy surface, or through a Foaming Spray Bottle for foam that clings to vertical surfaces. Let it sit 5 to 15 minutes depending on how heavy the build-up is. Scrub with a damp Swedish Dishcloth or Dish Sponge. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, or sponge-rinse where there is no drain. For everyday non-greasy cleaning, Universal Cleaner is the all-rounder.
How do I use it?
✓ Spray, wait, scrub, rinse
Spray. Apply Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner straight onto the surface. A Foaming Spray Bottle is optional. It turns the liquid into thick foam that clings to vertical surfaces such as rangehoods, splashbacks and oven walls instead of running down them. Without one, spray straight onto the surface.
Wait. Let it sit 5 to 15 minutes depending on the surface and how heavy the build-up is. Soak-time guide below.
Scrub. Use a damp Swedish Dishcloth, Dish Sponge or Scrubby Pad. Match the scrubber to the surface: soft side for plastic and ceramic-glass, scrubby side for enamel and metal.
Rinse. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Where there is no drain, sponge-rinse with a clean damp cloth until no residue is left. Rinse with clean water before food touches the surface. Dishes, cookware, pots and pans go the same way.
✓ What to use with it
A Foaming Spray Bottle for foam. Swedish Dishcloths or Dish Sponges for everyday work. Scrubby Pads are two-sided: soft side for coated surfaces, scrubby side for tougher metal and enamel.
How long should I let it sit?
✓ 3 to 5 minutes
General kitchen surfaces, splashbacks, benchtops, light grease.
✓ 5 minutes
Stovetops, cooktop hobs, daily greasy build-up.
✓ 5 to 10 minutes
BBQs, rangehoods, rangehood filters, exhaust fans.
✓ 10 to 15 minutes
Ovens with baked-on grease, oven racks and trays, oven door glass.
✓ When 15 minutes is not enough
For very heavy build-up, soak the item in warm water with Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner for 30 minutes. That suits oven racks, BBQ grates and roasting pans. Do not let the product dry on the surface mid-clean, and spray again if it starts to.
Longer soaking beats harder scrubbing on almost every surface in a kitchen.
