TL;DR: The formula suits non-stick, ceramic-coated, enamel and hard-anodised cookware. Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner is alkaline at pH 8.5 and carries no abrasive particles. The scrubbing tool is the bigger risk to a coating, not the cleaner. Pair it with a soft Swedish Dishcloth, a Dish Sponge, or the soft side of a Scrubby Pad. Never take Diamond Sponges or steel wool to a coated pan. Check your cookware maker’s instructions and spot-test somewhere out of sight first.

⚠ Spot-test first, rinse after
Coating quality varies between makers, even within one coating type. Check the instructions that came with your cookware and spot-test somewhere out of sight, the bottom edge or the rim, before you use it all over.
Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner isn't food grade, so rinse any surface that food touches with clean water afterwards.
What’s the bigger risk, the cleaner or the scrubber?
✓ Always fine on a coating
Soft cloths such as Swedish Dishcloths, the soft side of a Dish Sponge, and the soft side of a Scrubby Pad. None of these will scratch it.
✓ Use with care
The scrubby side of a Scrubby Pad works on non-stick with light pressure. Test a hidden spot first, particularly on premium ceramic coatings. If you see any marking, go back to the soft side.
⚠ Bare metal only
Diamond Sponges and steel wool will scratch non-stick, ceramic and enamel coatings. Keep them for bare metal: uncoated stainless steel BBQ grates and bare-metal oven racks. If you cannot tell whether a rack is bare metal or enamelled, treat it as enamelled and use a Scrubby Pad.
✓ For burnt-on grease
If foam and a soft scrubber are not shifting baked-on residue, soak the pan in warm water with Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner for 15 to 30 minutes, then wipe. Give it longer rather than reaching for an abrasive tool.
