Do I need to rinse after using Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner?Updated 12 days ago
TL;DR: Yes. Always rinse Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner with clean water after cleaning. It's safe for food prep surfaces (benchtops, splashbacks, chopping boards) after a thorough rinse, but Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner is not food-grade itself, so direct food contact should be avoided. For ovens, rangehoods, BBQs, and other surfaces without a drain, wipe with a clean damp sponge until residue-free.
Do I need to rinse after use?
✓ Spray, scrub, rinse
Spray. Spray Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner onto the surface and let it sit.
Scrub. Scrub with a Dish Sponge or Swedish Dishcloth.
Rinse. Rinse thoroughly with clean water before any food contact.
✓ No drain? Damp-sponge rinse
For ovens, rangehoods, BBQs, and other surfaces without a drain, wet a clean Dish Sponge or Swedish Dishcloth with clean water and wipe the surface down until all product residue is removed. Dry-buff with a clean cloth for a streak-free finish.
Why do I need to rinse?
✓ Food safety
Kitchen Grease & Oil Cleaner is safe for food prep surfaces but is not food-grade itself, so direct contact with food should be avoided. The rinse step removes product residue and means the surface is ready for food prep.
✓ Streak-free finish
Leftover product residue can dry on the surface and leave streaks or a hazy finish, especially on stainless steel and glass. Rinsing thoroughly prevents that.

For greasy kitchen surfaces. Safe for food prep with a clean-water rinse. Sensitive Choice approved, Dermatest tested, Eczema Association recognised. Septic safe, made in Australia.
