Tips for Ultra Pro Bathroom MittUpdated 15 hours ago
TL;DR: If the Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt is not performing its best, check the guide below. Most issues come down to which side you are using, how much product you are applying, or how the mitt is being washed and stored.
Not foaming well
Check these first
Make sure the mitt is damp (not dry) and you have applied enough Bathroom & Shower Cleaner. Use the blue fluffy side (the lather face) first to generate rich foam.
Wrong side?
The textured striped side is for scrubbing and buffing, not lathering. If you are starting with that side, you will not get much foam. Flip to the blue fluffy side to lather, then flip back to scrub.
Leaving streaks or residue
Fix
Rinse the surface fully before buffing. Finish with the textured side for a polished, streak-free shine.
Too much product?
Overloading with Bathroom & Shower Cleaner can cause streaking. A small amount goes a long way with the mitt's absorbent fibres.
Smells or feels sticky
Fix
Rinse thoroughly after each use to clear all residue. Machine wash at a maximum of 40 degrees with Sensitive Laundry Liquid, then air-dry completely before storing. Storing the mitt damp is the most common cause of odour.
Fibres losing softness
Avoid these
Bleach and fabric softeners coat and weaken the microfibre loops. Skip both entirely.
Wash separately
Wash the mitt separately from lint-producing items like towels and cotton clothing. Lint clogs the microfibre loops and reduces scrubbing effectiveness.
