What is Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt made of?
✓ Lather side
600 GSM plush microfibre weave. 70% polyester, 15% polyamide, 15% polypropylene. Whips Bathroom and Shower Cleaner into rich foam. The polypropylene content speeds up drying after use.
✓ Scrub and buff side
500 GSM ground-yarn blend. 75% polyester, 25% polyamide. Striped texture for extra bite on soap scum without scratching tiles, glass, or enamel.
✓ Water-resistant lining
4mm PU foam bonded to tricot fabric on the inside of the mitt. Keeps your hand dry even during heavy scrubbing or extended use under running water.
✓ Elasticated cuff
Elasticated knit that hugs the wrist so the mitt doesn't slip during scrubbing. Gives better control and keeps water from running down your arm.
Made in South Korea. Manufactured to Koh's spec.
Why does each side use different materials?
✓ Built around the bathroom job
The lather side maximises soft contact with wet surfaces so cleaner foams up quickly. The scrub side uses a firmer, striped weave to grip soap scum and mineral deposits without scratching tiles, glass, or enamel. The added polypropylene on the lather face speeds up drying, which helps prevent odour. The 4mm PU foam layer stops water soaking through to your hand, and the elasticated cuff locks everything in place for better control during a full shower clean.
Can Ultra Pro Bathroom Mitt be recycled?
⚠ Not kerbside recyclable
Multiple synthetic fibres (polyester, polyamide, polypropylene) plus a bonded PU foam lining make this a mixed-material product. Most kerbside programs only accept single-material textiles or specific fibre types, so the mitt goes in general waste at end of life.
✓ Maximise lifespan, find a second life
Machine wash on a cool cycle with Sensitive Laundry Liquid and non-linting items only (no cotton). No bleach, no fabric softener. Air-dry where possible. When the mitt is past its prime for bathrooms, retire it to grout scrubbing, outdoor furniture, or garden jobs before disposal.
