Why didn't Dishwashing Tablet wrapper didn’t dissolveUpdated 18 days ago
Dishwashing Tablets are wrapped in a biodegradable PVA film designed to dissolve completely during the wash cycle.
If you notice leftover film, try these quick checks:
- Placement:
- Standard or Auto cycles: place the tablet in the dispenser.
- Short or Eco cycles: place the tablet flat on the tub floor under the lower spray arm.
- Temperature: Use a hotter 55-65°C cycle to help the film dissolve fully.
- Water flow: Make sure spray arms spin freely and filters are clean.
- Loading tips: Handle tablets with dry hands, don’t peel the wrapper, avoid blocking the dispenser door, and ensure the salt reservoir is filled.
📝 If the tablet hasn’t dropped from the dispenser, check that the compartment is completely dry, as moisture can cause the tablet to stick. Make sure nothing is blocking the lid from opening properly. You can also try placing the tablet directly on the bottom of the dishwasher or switching to a different cycle to see if that improves dissolution.
