Why didn't Dishwashing Tablet wrapper didn’t dissolveUpdated 12 hours ago

Dishwashing Tablets  are wrapped in a biodegradable PVA film that dissolves during the wash cycle.

If you notice small pieces of film in the filter or dishwasher, try the steps below.

Quick fixes

  1. Switch placement:
    • Standard / Auto programs: Place the whole tablet in the dispenser.
    • Short / Eco programs: Lay the whole tablet flat on the tub floor under the lower spray arm. This allows hot water to reach the wrapper sooner.
  2. Use a hotter program: Choose a 55–65°C cycle to give the film more time and heat to dissolve properly.
  3. Check water flow: Ensure spray arms spin freely and filters are clean. Good water pressure helps the tablet dissolve completely.

Loading & Handling Tips

  • Handle tablets with dry hands so the wrapper stays intact until wash time.
  • Do not peel or cut the wrapper. The PVA film is designed to break down safely in water.
  • Avoid blocking the dispenser door with large items. The tablet must drop freely when the flap opens.
  • Check the salt reservoir to ensure it’s filled and free from debris.
  • The PVA film is septic-safe and will not block drains once fully dissolved.
