TL;DR: Skin varies from person to person, so nothing suits everyone. Sensitive Hand Wash and Sensitive Body Wash are both made for sensitive skin: fragrance-free, sulfate-free, pH 5.5, HRIPT dermatologically tested, and both recognised by the Eczema Association of Australasia.
Is Koh Body Care suitable for sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin isn't one thing. What sets one person off leaves the next person completely fine, and the same skin can behave differently in winter than it does in summer. So there's no wash on any shelf that suits every person with sensitive skin.
What we can put in front of you is the substantiation. Both formulas were built for reactive skin from the ground up, and both were tested and assessed by third parties rather than by us.
Both formulas start with what's left out. Fragrance is the most common trigger for reactive skin, so there's none in either bottle. Neither has colours or dyes, parabens, SLS, soap, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, mineral oil, triclosan, EDTA or lanolin.
Sensitive Hand Wash
Fragrance-free, sulfate-free, pH 5.5. Aloe vera, chamomile, hydrolysed jojoba esters and glycerine. Naturally derived, 94.90% per ISO 16128. HRIPT dermatologically tested and recognised by the Eczema Association of Australasia.

Fragrance-free, sulfate-free, pH 5.5. Hydrolysed jojoba esters and glycerine. Naturally derived, 88.58% per ISO 16128. HRIPT dermatologically tested and recognised by the Eczema Association of Australasia.
The pH does a lot of the work. At pH 5.5 both washes match healthy skin, so washing doesn't strip the skin's natural moisture barrier. Plenty of conventional washes sit closer to pH 9 to 10.
⚠ Patch test first if your skin reacts easily
If your skin is highly reactive or your barrier is compromised right now, start with a patch test. Put a small amount on the inside of your forearm, rinse it off, and leave it 24 hours. If you see redness or itching, stop using it and talk to your GP, pharmacist or dermatologist. If you have an active skin condition, check with your dermatologist or GP before you introduce anything new.
What does HRIPT dermatologically tested mean?
HRIPT stands for Human Repeat Insult Patch Test. A panel of volunteers wears the product under patches over several weeks, and dermatologists check the skin at each stage for irritation and for allergic response. Repeat exposure is the point: it's designed to catch reactions that only show up after a formula has been used again and again, which is exactly how a hand wash or a body wash gets used.
Both Sensitive Hand Wash and Sensitive Body Wash hold current HRIPT certification. Hand Wash attained it in September 2025 and Body Wash in February 2026.
What does recognition from the Eczema Association of Australasia mean?
The Eczema Association of Australasia is the national body for people living with eczema. When it recognises a product, it has assessed the formulation and found it suitable for eczema-prone and sensitive skin. That assessment sits outside Koh, which is what makes it worth quoting.
Both Sensitive Hand Wash and Sensitive Body Wash hold current recognition from the Eczema Association of Australasia, attained in October 2025.
