Can I use Universal Cleaner in a Robot Vacuum or Mop?Updated 4 days ago
TL;DR: We haven't tested Universal Cleaner with robot vacuums or mops. There are too many models and material combinations for us to assess compatibility. If you'd like to try it, follow your manufacturer's guidelines and let us know how you go.
Why we can't give a definitive answer
Robot vacuum and mop machines vary significantly across brands and models; tanks, seals, internal tubing, mop pads, and sensors are all made from different materials. We don't have visibility into what each machine uses, and we haven't run compatibility testing across these devices.
Using an untested cleaning solution in a robot mop could potentially affect seals, internal components, or void your machine's warranty.
What to do if you want to try it
- Check your manufacturer's guidelines first. Some robot mops specify approved cleaning solutions or warn against using anything other than water.
- Start with a small amount. If your manufacturer doesn't restrict it, try and monitor for any issues with the machine or your floors.
- Spot test your floor surface before running a full clean cycle.
- Let us know how it goes. Genuine customer feedback helps us build out our guidance. Reach out and share your experience.
