Can I use Sensitive Hand Wash as a body wash?
Reaching for Sensitive Hand Wash in the shower is fine. It's gentle, sulfate-free and pH 5.5, matching healthy skin, the same as Sensitive Body Wash. Both hold HRIPT dermatological testing and both are recognised by the Eczema Association of Australasia, so neither one is the more tested of the pair.
For every day, Body Wash is the better match. It carries extra hydrating and conditioning ingredients for a larger area of skin and a longer wash. Fine, then, but not ideal.
Why is there a separate hand wash and body wash?
Sensitive Hand Wash
Hands get washed many times a day, so the formula is built to clean and rinse away quickly without leaving a film behind. Aloe vera, chamomile, jojoba esters and glycerine keep hands comfortable through repeated washing.
Sensitive Body Wash
Body skin gets one longer wash across a much larger area, so the formula leans further into hydration and conditioning. Jojoba esters and glycerine leave skin feeling soft after rinsing.
Same gentle starting point, pH 5.5 in both, each tuned to its job.
Can I use either one on my face?

Neither wash is formulated as a facial cleanser. Both are gentle enough for most skin types, but people's skin varies a great deal, and facial skin is often the most reactive skin you have.
If you want to try one, patch test a small area first and give it a day, especially if your skin is highly reactive or compromised. Stop using it and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you notice irritation.
