Can children and babies use Sensitive Hand Wash?
Children's skin is thinner and more reactive than adult skin, and it varies a lot from child to child. Two kids in the same house can respond differently to the same wash, which is why no wash gets a blanket answer for every child.
What we can say is what the formula does and doesn't contain. Sensitive Hand Wash is built around mild cleansers, it leaves out the ingredients most commonly linked with skin sensitivity, and it sits at pH 5.5. In general that makes it a gentler choice for young skin when used as directed, and it's suitable for children 3 and over with adult supervision so the wash gets rinsed off properly.

What makes Sensitive Hand Wash gentler on young skin?
Fragrance is the single most common trigger for reactive skin, so it's left out completely. So are colours and dyes, parabens, SLS, soap, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, mineral oil, triclosan, EDTA and lanolin. Aloe vera, chamomile, hydrolysed jojoba esters and glycerine do the softening work, and the formula is naturally derived, 94.90% per ISO 16128.
The pH matters as much as the ingredient list. At pH 5.5 the wash matches healthy skin, so repeated washing through the day doesn't strip the skin's natural moisture barrier. Plenty of conventional hand washes sit closer to pH 9 to 10.
How should children use Sensitive Hand Wash?
Washing little hands, step by step
Wet hands under warm running water.
One pump is plenty for small hands. More lather doesn't mean a better clean.
Work it over palms, backs of hands, between the fingers and around the nails for about 20 seconds.
Rinse well. This is the step kids rush, and leftover wash on the skin is what tends to cause dryness.
Pat dry rather than rubbing.
⚠ Patch test first if your child's skin reacts easily
Skin varies from child to child, so a patch test is a sensible first step for a reactive little one. Put a small amount on the inside of the forearm, rinse it off, and leave it 24 hours. If you see redness or itching, stop using it and have a chat with your GP or pharmacist.
