How do I use Stain Remover?Updated 11 hours ago

TL;DR: Pour Stain Remover into a Foaming Spray Bottle, spray it straight onto the stain, leave it 5 to 10 minutes, brush lightly if the mark is stubborn, then wash as normal. Treat stains as soon as they happen rather than letting them dry into the fabric. Use it at full strength.

What do I need?

You need two things to use Stain Remover: the Stain Remover refill and a Foaming Spray Bottle, which turns it into a foam you can aim at the mark. The Stain Remover Starter Kit has both, which is the simplest option if you are starting fresh. Already have a Foaming Spray Bottle from another Koh product? Just grab the refill.

✓ Two products, three ways to grab them

Stain Remover goes into a Foaming Spray Bottle, which turns it into a foam for targeted spray. The Stain Remover Starter Kit includes both, or grab them separately if you already have a Foaming Spray Bottle from another Koh product.

How do I use it step by step?

Pour Stain Remover into a Foaming Spray Bottle, then spray straight onto the stain until the area is evenly covered with foam. Leave it 5 to 10 minutes. Agitate gently with a soft brush for stubborn marks, then wash as normal following the garment care label. Use it at full strength rather than diluting it with water.

✓ The method, start to finish

2

Spray the stain until the area is evenly covered with foam.

3

Leave it 5 to 10 minutes so the foam has time to lift the mark.

4

Agitate gently with a soft brush for stubborn spots.

5

Wash as normal, following the garment care label.

✓ For tricky stains

Treat as soon as you can. If you cannot wash straight away, keep the area damp and reapply before washing. Repeat the spray, wait and wash cycle rather than using more product in one go.

Treat fast Keep damp Repeat if needed

⚠ Fabric check

Not recommended for wool or other protein fibres such as silk, where the enzymes can act on the fibres themselves over repeated use. For those, use a detergent made for wool and follow the garment care label.

For anything unfamiliar, spot-test on a hidden seam first.

Not for protein fibres Spot-test the rest

✓ Good to know

Septic compatible when used as directed, with no chlorine and no phosphates

Always follow the garment care label and your machine's instructions

Use it at full strength. Do not dilute it with water

Lasts 4 to 6 months in an average home, with a 12-month shelf life
