TL;DR: Yes. Koh orders ship with signature on delivery by default. If you won't be home, you can request Safe Drop or redirect to an Australia Post Parcel Locker via the AusPost app. Koh can't take responsibility for missing parcels once Safe Drop is selected.

Why does Koh require a signature on delivery?

Koh ships orders with signature on delivery as the default to protect customers from parcel theft and lost-in-transit issues. With signature required, Australia Post will only release the parcel once someone at the address has signed for it. If nobody's home, the driver leaves a card and the parcel is held at the nearest Australia Post outlet for collection. This is more secure than the standard Authority to Leave option where the parcel is left at the door, which is the most common cause of porch theft.

If nobody's home when the driver arrives, a digital notification will be sent by them and hold the parcel at the nearest Australia Post outlet for collection.


What if I won't be home for delivery?

If you won't be home when your Koh order is delivered, there are two main options. The first is Safe Drop: through the AusPost app, you can authorise the driver to leave the parcel in a designated safe location at your address (such as the back porch or behind a planter) without a signature. Safe Drop is convenient but comes with a trade-off: once you select Safe Drop, Koh cannot take responsibility for the parcel if it goes missing after delivery. The second option is to redirect the parcel to a Parcel Locker at a nearby Australia Post outlet, where you can collect it at your convenience. Both options are set up through the AusPost app once your order has shipped and you have a tracking number.

How do I set up Safe Drop or a Parcel Locker?

Safe Drop and Parcel Locker redirects are both set up through the Australia Post app, which is free on iOS and Android. Once your Koh order has shipped and you have a tracking number, open the AusPost app and find your delivery. From there you can request Safe Drop, redirect to a Parcel Locker, change the delivery address, or arrange collection from a nearby outlet. The app also sends push notifications for delivery updates so you don't miss alerts to your spam folder. The dispatch confirmation email Koh sends when your order ships will have your tracking number to add to the app.

Both options are set up through the Australia Post app, free on iOS and Android. Once your order has shipped and you have a tracking number (in the dispatch email), open the AusPost app, find your delivery, and choose Safe Drop or a Parcel Locker redirect.
