How do I remove hair dye stains from fabric?Updated 5 hours ago
TL;DR: For hair dye on fabric, pre-treat with Stain Remover then launder with Sensitive Laundry Liquid. Spray the stain, wait 10 minutes, then wash. Hair dyes vary and are complex, so complete removal isn't guaranteed.

What do I need?
Enzyme-powered pre-treat to help lift colour pigments from fabric before washing.
Gentle, effective wash to carry away the lifted dye during the wash cycle.
How do I remove hair dye step by step?
✓ Step by step
Act fast if fresh. Blot excess with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can drive the dye deeper into the fibres.
Spray Stain Remover to fully cover the mark and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Wash per the garment care label using Sensitive Laundry Liquid.
Check before drying. If the stain remains, repeat steps 2 and 3. Don't tumble dry or iron until the stain has gone. Heat will set it permanently.
⚠ Before you start
Avoid on: wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca, and other protein fibres.
Spot-test first on: rayon, viscose, and any delicate fabric. Colourfastness varies by dye and garment, so test on an inside seam before treating visible areas.
⚠ Set your expectations
Hair dyes differ by brand and shade and can be permanent. Some stains may only lighten rather than fully disappear. Treating as early as possible gives the best chance of removal.
