Tap any ingredient below to see what it does and why it's in the box.
Aqua (water)
The carrier for everything else. Lets the formula spread evenly through the wash water.
Alcohols C12-14 ethoxylated
A surfactant. Lifts soil and grease from fabric so it rinses away in the wash. Sourced from RSPO-certified suppliers.
Caprylyl/Capryl glucoside, Lauryl glucoside
Sugar-derived surfactants. Help the formula clean gently while staying mild on fabric and skin. Sourced from RSPO-certified suppliers.
Oleic acid
A plant-derived fatty acid (sourced from plant oils including palm kernel and olive). Contributes to mild cleaning support.
Potassium hydroxide
A pH balancer. Keeps the formula at the right alkalinity for surfactants and enzymes to work effectively.
Sodium formate
A stabiliser. Helps the formula stay consistent across the pack so the last wash performs like the first.
Citric acid
A water softener and pH adjuster. Helps the formula work consistently in different water types.
Phenoxyethanol
A preservative. Prevents microbial growth in the box over time.
Caprylyl glycol
A preservative. Listed alongside phenoxyethanol on the box.
Methyl cocoate
A coconut-derived surfactant. Helps the formula clean gently.
Lipase
An enzyme. Targets oily and fatty stains like cooking oil, salad dressing, butter, and lipstick. The kind that look invisible until the fabric comes out of the dryer with a darker patch.
Phosphodiesterase
An enzyme. Targets stubborn biological residues like blood, mucus, and biological fluids.
Protease
An enzyme. Targets protein-based stains like blood, sweat, egg, and dairy.
Amylase
An enzyme. Targets starch-based food stains like pasta sauce, gravy, and baby food.
Cellulase
An enzyme. Targets plant-based soils and helps reduce fabric pilling on cotton over time.
Alcohols C10 ethoxylated
A surfactant. Helps the formula spread evenly and rinse cleanly out of fabric. Sourced from RSPO-certified suppliers.
Sodium chloride
Common salt. Used as a thickener and stabiliser in the formula.
Sodium hydroxide
A pH balancer. Used in small amounts to maintain the formula's alkalinity.
If you have a specific concern about an ingredient or sensitivity, the box also carries the country of origin and cert details.
Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet?
✓ Access Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
Heads up: the Safety Data Sheet is a regulatory document written for workplace safety officers, first responders, and waste handlers. It uses chemistry and hazard classification language and isn't designed as a customer FAQ.
If you're asking about ingredients, sensitivity, or everyday use, the section above and the product page will be more useful.
Still need the SDS? It's a standardised 16-section PDF covering hazards, first aid measures, handling and storage, and disposal. Sensitive Laundry Liquid has a pH of approximately 9 (mildly alkaline).
⚠ Not for wool, silk, or other animal fibres
The enzymes in Sensitive Laundry Liquid can break down protein-based fibres. Avoid on wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca, rayon/viscose, and linen, hand-wash these with a wool-and-silk-specific detergent instead.

Around 60 washes per box. Sensitive Choice approved, Dermatest tested. Septic and grey water safe. Made in Victoria, Australia.
