Do Sensitive Laundry Sheets work in my washing machine?Updated 5 days ago

TL;DR: Sensitive Laundry Sheets work in front-load, top-load and high-efficiency (HE) machines. Drop the sheet into the drum before you add clothes, then run your normal cycle. The detergent drawer is the one place it should not go, because the sheet needs to circulate in water to dissolve.

Do Sensitive Laundry Sheets work in my washing machine?

Sensitive Laundry Sheets work in front-load, top-load and high-efficiency machines. Place the sheet in the empty drum before adding clothes, never the detergent drawer, then run your normal cycle. The sheet dissolves in hot and cold water and disperses through the wash. Leave room in the drum so it can circulate.

Place a Sensitive Laundry Sheet in the empty drum, then load your laundry on top and use your usual cycle. The sheet dissolves cleanly and leaves the drum and door seal alone when used as directed.

Drop a Sensitive Laundry Sheet into the drum before adding clothes, then run a standard wash. The sheet dissolves and disperses during the agitation cycle.

Top loader Agitation ready

✓ High-efficiency (HE) machines

Sensitive Laundry Sheets are HE compatible. Add the sheet to the drum rather than the detergent drawer, use your normal HE cycle, and leave the machine room so the sheet can circulate and dissolve.

HE compatible Low-water cycles

Can I use a sheet on a short or eco cycle?

Sensitive Laundry Sheets dissolve in hot and cold water, so short and eco cycles work. On a very short cycle, or a cold cycle with a small amount of water, a longer cycle gives the sheet more time to break down. Pre-wetting the sheet under the tap before it goes in the drum also helps.

Sheets dissolve in hot and cold water, so a cold wash is fine. If your cycle is very short or uses very little water, pick a slightly longer cycle or wet the sheet under the tap before it goes in the drum. Both give it more time to break down.

Keep the sheet out of the detergent dispenser or drawer. It can sit there instead of reaching the wash.

Give the drum room. The sheet needs space to tumble and dissolve evenly.

Wash wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca, rayon or viscose and linen with a cleaner made for those fibres instead. The enzymes in the sheets can break down natural fibres.
