What are the ingredients in Stain Remover?Updated 2 hours ago

TL;DR: Stain Remover is built around a six-enzyme system that targets protein, starch, oil, fruit, and gum stains, plus ongoing cotton fibre care. Fragrance-free, bleach-free, dye-free, and dermatologist-tested. Full ingredient breakdown below.

What ingredients are in each bottle?

✓ What's not in there

Stain Remover is formulated to do the cleaning work through enzymes and smart surfactants rather than harsh add-ons. Gentle enough for a dermatologist-tested claim, strong enough for everyday stains.

Fragrance-free Bleach-free No dyes Dermatologist-tested 20 ingredients

✓ How it works

Six enzymes do the heavy lifting. Protease breaks down proteins, amylase digests starches, and cellulase refreshes worn cotton fibres. Lipase handles oils, pectate lyase tackles fruit residues, and mannanase targets gum-thickened foods. Surfactants surround and lift the loosened stain so it rinses away in the wash.

Every ingredient has a purpose. Tap any ingredient below to see what it does and why it's in the formula.

Sodium laureth sulfate

A mild anionic surfactant that does the primary cleaning work. It lifts soil and grime from fabric, creates an active foam for coverage, and rinses away cleanly.

Sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate

A second cleaning surfactant that works alongside the primary surfactant to boost detergency and emulsify oily soils that pure water-based cleaners can struggle with.

Caprylyl/Capryl glucoside and Lauryl glucoside

Sugar-derived non-ionic surfactants. They stabilise the foam so it clings to the stain long enough to work, and support gentler overall cleaning.

Alcohols, C12-14, ethoxylated

A non-ionic co-surfactant that improves wetting of the fabric, dissolves residues, and boosts how cleanly everything rinses out.

Acrylates copolymer

An anti-redeposition polymer. It holds lifted dirt in the wash water so it rinses away instead of resettling on other clothes in the load.

Propylene glycol

A co-solvent and enzyme stabiliser. It keeps the enzymes and surfactants properly dissolved and helps the preservative system work as intended.

Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl glycol

The preservative pair. Together they prevent microbial growth in the bottle over time, keeping the product stable between uses.

Sodium formate

Enzyme stabiliser. It maintains enzyme activity in the bottle and during the wash so performance stays consistent across the whole pack.

Protease (enzyme)

Breaks down the sticky protein stains that grip onto fabric fibres, like blood, sweat, egg, and dairy.

Amylase (enzyme)

Digests starch-based food stains like pasta sauce, gravy, and baby food. Common culprits on kids' clothes and bibs.

Cellulase (enzyme)

Targets damaged cotton fibres. Breaks down the microscopic pills and fuzz that build up on worn cotton surfaces, releasing trapped soil at the same time. A fabric-care enzyme that keeps cotton looking fresher wash after wash.

Lipase (enzyme)

Targets oily and fatty stains like cooking oil, salad dressing, butter, and lipstick. The ones that look invisible until the fabric comes out of the dryer with a darker patch.

Pectate lyase (enzyme)

Tackles fruit-based residues like berry juice, tomato sauce, and fruit-based baby foods. A less common enzyme in consumer detergents.

Mannanase (enzyme)

Targets gum-thickened foods like ice cream, salad dressings, and yoghurt that contain stabilising gums most enzymes can't break down.

Citric acid

A pH adjuster and mild water softener. It helps stabilise the enzymes and manage hard water so the cleaning system works properly.

Calcium chloride

Provides calcium ions that certain enzymes, particularly protease, need to stay active and structurally stable.

Xanthan gum

A natural thickener. It keeps all the ingredients evenly suspended in the bottle so every spray delivers the full formula rather than watery residue.

Aqua (water)

The solvent and carrier for everything else. Enables even distribution across the fabric when you spray.

Where can I find the Safety Data Sheet?

✓ Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

The Safety Data Sheet is a technical document used for regulatory and workplace safety purposes. It covers hazard classification, first aid measures, handling information, and technical specs including the formula's approximate pH of 7.5.
