Why is my Stain Remover too runny or too thick?Updated 13 days ago
TL;DR: If Stain Remover feels too runny or too thick, it's usually temperature related. Bring the bottle back to room temperature and shake gently to restore consistency. Cleaning performance isn't affected.
Why does it happen?
✓ Temperature changes consistency
Stain Remover contains xanthan gum, a thickener that keeps the ingredients evenly suspended in the bottle. Xanthan gum gets thinner in heat and more gel-like in cold. Storage or delivery temperature swings can change how the spray feels without affecting cleaning performance.
How do I fix it?
✓ Quick fix in 3 steps
Leave the bottle at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes.
Shake gently to remix.
Test Foaming Spray Bottle. A fine, foamy spray is what you're looking for.
If the consistency hasn't returned, give it longer. Cold bottles can take a couple of hours to settle back to room temperature.
Where should I store it?
✓ Ideal storage
✓ Sealed and upright
✓ Cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
✓ Stable room temperature between 15 and 25°C
✓ Inside the house rather than in garages or sheds
⚠ Places to avoid
! Hot cars in summer
! Sunny windowsills
! Unheated sheds or outdoor storage
! Above or near heaters, ovens, or dryers
