What happened to Universal Laundry Liquid?Updated 2 hours ago

TL;DR: Universal Laundry Liquid retired in mid-to-late 2024 and was replaced by Sensitive Laundry Liquid for the main wash, plus a dedicated Stain Remover for pre-treating. The new wash formula is thicker by design, so it isn't compatible with Foaming Spray Bottle. If you want a foaming pre-treat, use Stain Remover in your existing bottle.

What changed and why?

Koh retired Universal Laundry Liquid in mid-to-late 2024 and replaced it with two purpose-built products. Sensitive Laundry Liquid is the new main wash formula, reformulated for improved performance and a gentler experience for sensitive households. Stain Remover is a separate spray-on pre-treat for stubborn stains. The wash formula is thicker by design for better dosing control, which means it isn't compatible with Foaming Spray Bottle. Decant Sensitive Laundry Liquid into Laundry Pump instead.

The new formula is thicker for improved dosing control. That viscosity means it isn't suitable for Foaming Spray Bottle. Decant from the bag-in-box into Laundry Pump.

For customers who missed a foaming pre-treat, we created Stain Remover as a separate product specifically for tackling stains before the wash.

What's the difference side by side?

Sensitive Laundry Liquid is for the main wash, machine or hand wash, on everyday and heavy-duty loads. It's a thicker liquid for controlled dosing and isn't compatible with Foaming Spray Bottle. Stain Remover is a foaming pre-treat sprayed directly onto stains before the wash. It's designed for Foaming Spray Bottle and is for spot treatment, not bulk laundry.

Use Stain Remover for pre-treating localised stains like food, mud, sweat marks, and set-in marks before the wash. The two products are designed to be used together for the best results.
