Alcohols C12-14 ethoxylated
A surfactant. Lifts soil and grease off fabric so it rinses away in the wash.
Caprylyl/Capryl glucoside, Lauryl glucoside
Mild surfactants. Help the formula clean gently while staying mild on fabric.
Oleic acid
A fatty acid. Contributes mild cleaning support.
Potassium hydroxide
A pH balancer. Holds the formula in its working range.
Sodium formate
A stabiliser. Helps the formula stay consistent so the last wash performs like the first.
Citric acid
A water softener and pH adjuster. Helps the formula work consistently in different water types.
Phenoxyethanol
A preservative. Keeps the contents of the box stable over its shelf life.
Caprylyl glycol
A preservative. Listed alongside phenoxyethanol on the box.
Methyl cocoate
A mild surfactant. Helps the formula clean gently.
Lipase
An enzyme. Targets oily and fatty marks like cooking oil, salad dressing, butter and lipstick, the kind that look invisible until the fabric comes out of the dryer with a darker patch.

An enzyme. Targets the sticky biological residues that hold soil onto fabric.
Protease
An enzyme. Targets protein marks like blood, sweat, egg and dairy.
Amylase
An enzyme. Targets starch food marks like pasta sauce, gravy and baby food.
Cellulase
An enzyme. Targets grass and vegetable soils and helps reduce pilling on cotton over time.
Alcohols C10 ethoxylated
A surfactant. Helps the formula spread evenly and rinse cleanly out of fabric.
Sodium chloride
Common salt. Used as a thickener and stabiliser.
Sodium hydroxide
A pH balancer. Used in small amounts to hold the formula in its working range.
Which fabrics should I keep it away from?

The enzymes in Sensitive Laundry Liquid break down protein fibres. Keep it away from wool, silk, cashmere and alpaca. Hand wash those with a detergent made for wool and silk instead.
