What should I use to clean large areas of carpet?Updated 9 hours ago
TL;DR: For cleaning larger carpet, rug, or upholstery areas, dilute Sensitive Laundry Liquid and use it with a handheld wet-vac or upholstery/carpet cleaning machine. For small spots, use Universal Cleaner.
For large carpet, rug, or upholstery areas
Dilute Sensitive Laundry Liquid
1 pump (4ml) of Sensitive Laundry Liquid per 1L of warm water. Fill the machine tank with warm water first, then add the detergent. Use your wet-vac or carpet machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow the surface to dry completely.
Enzymes and protein-based fabrics
Sensitive Laundry Liquid contains enzymes such as protease that break down protein-based stains. These enzymes can also break down protein-based fibres like wool and silk, which may lead to weakening or damage.
For small spots and marks
Spot clean with Universal Cleaner
Spray Universal Cleaner lightly onto the affected area.
Blot gently with a clean cloth.
Avoid oversaturating the fabric or carpet backing.
Keep in mind
Avoid soaking upholstery cushions, as moisture can become trapped inside the foam. Results may vary depending on fabric type and stain. Always spot test first.
